Avocats Sans Frontières (ASF) is a non-governmental organisation created in 1992 in Brussels (Belgium) and registered under Belgian law.  The organisation is composed primarily of lawyers, legal advisors and judges.

The role of ASF is to contribute to and promote, in complete independence, the establishment of a just, equitable and united society, in which both the law and justice serve those who need them the most (including protection of civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights).

Data collection

In accordance with the Belgian law of 8 December 1992 concerning the protection of privacy, ASF is obligated to protect and guarantee the confidential nature of all personal information obtained or provided in the course of visits to our website. ASF is committed to using this data for the sole purpose of providing you information about our activities and events.  In no event will that information be disclosed to another organisation, individual or entity without your consent.

Kampala, Uganda, 27 April 2012 – Avocats Sans Frontières (ASF) calls for a sustained endeavor in Uganda to facilitate access to justice for women, many of whom are in vulnerable situations. Uganda’s local and national authorities should increase their efforts to ensuring women and girls improved access to justice, a crucial element in securing their futures.

Tunis/Brussels - April 12, 2012. Avocats Sans Frontières (ASF) is starting its activities in support of justice in Tunisia, cradle of the “Arab Spring” of 2011. The NGO is helping eight Tunisian associations to archive and to categorize several thousand case files on human rights violations. ASF’s action will allow better utilization of the data collected in these case files and, thus, support  the Tunisian society’s transition in terms of justice.
